Our Story

Origins in London

ForestRush LTD was born out of a small, dimly lit flat on Victoria Street, London. Our founder, Jason Whitaker, observed a growing disconnect in the modern world. Despite hyper-connectivity, genuine, tactile human interaction was dwindling. The solution was ancient but required a modern renaissance: the tabletop board game. We started by sourcing rare, out-of-print European strategy games and painstakingly restoring them. What began as a passionate hobby for a small circle of friends quickly evolved into a mission to curate the finest physical gaming experiences available globally.

Our Philosophy on Analog Gaming

We believe that a board game is more than a set of rules; it is an architecture for shared memories. In our view, the physical components—the weight of the cards, the texture of the board, the precision of the miniatures—are integral to the cognitive immersion of the game. We reject the notion of disposable entertainment. Instead, we advocate for 'heirloom gaming': titles that are built to withstand decades of play and retain their structural and aesthetic integrity. We meticulously test every game we consider stocking, evaluating not just its strategic depth, but its tactile presence on the table.

Sustainability and Materials

Creating lasting physical products requires a responsibility to the environment. ForestRush LTD prioritizes partnerships with publishers who utilize FSC-certified sustainable wood for their components and soy-based inks for their printing. We are actively moving away from single-use plastics in our shipping processes, utilizing recycled paper void-fill and biodegradable tape. The beauty of a premium board game is that it does not require electricity, endless updates, or server connections. It relies solely on the energy of the people sitting around the table, making it one of the most sustainable forms of deep entertainment available.
